Interesting choice there Pablo. I hear Budgie and I can't help but think of Metallica, and your just not a Metallica kind of guy.

I remember raiding my older cousin Budgie albums in the late 80's thinking I was getting proto-Metallica. Not quite, but some good riffage!

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

The first I ever even heard of Budgie was when Metallica covered Breadfan and that 2nd song (the name eludes me). When I saw a Budgie greatest hits CD in the store I absolutely had to have it for the same reason (proto-Metallica).

If you haven't seen them before, get ready. They're unbelievable. (Saw them last Friday)

Wow, I remember hearing Metallica covering a Budgie song, but I had completely forgotten. After all, maybe, Budgie really is Proto-Metallica

If you go on their website, they play a significantly different setlist every night. For us, they played Mantis, both parts of Cemetary Walk, and at least one other Mantis song. They also did a pretty excellent version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. Two sets, great night.
