Topic: Finally - Experiments In Mass Appeal Posted: March 19 2009 at 12:20 |
Finally I have come around to listening to this wonderful second cd of Frost. I like their first one but this one is even better. It might even rejuvinate my love for prog, for the last months I haven't played a lot of prog.
Better late than never.

I liked the first one way more than this new one. The first songs are good, but I lose the taste in the rest.

I haven't heard the second album, but I liked the first one.

On the first one I didn't like the vocals, Declan Burke has done a great job on Experiments. The overall sound is heavier than the first one, that is more to my liking.

Frost* has become one of my favorite bands despite their relatively small catalog. Both albums are among my favorites, though I believe that I actually prefer Experiments. Dear Dead Days is just an amazing all around song and Toys rocks. There is no 20 minute 'prog epic' but I think I'm ok with that.
Experiments was easily my favorite album of last year and for me, one the most anticipated one as well.

I don't have an unnatural obsession with Disney Princesses, I have a fourteen year old daughter and coping mechanisms.
