And now for something more PA appropriate.  Possibly the most overrated album from the most overrated band in the world and yet I am just another sheep led to the slaughterhouse as I give in 9.5 out of 10 on progfreak.com.

It's been a Tom Petty kind of morning for me:

First with Echo.

Then my favorite Full Moon Fever

Followed closely by my 2nd favorite Into the Great Wide Open:

Probably my second favorite Van Morrison album. Avalon Sunset is just too perfect, though. Pretty close race.

They were putting ourt remastered versions of all his albums last year but only released about 2/3 s  of his albums and for some reason stopped.  Moondance and Hymns to the Silence, also the album His band and Street Choir. Three which I really wanted they did not do.......... buggerUnhappy

I love his music... but never upgraded to the remasters.. still have my 1st gen CD hahahha.

I love the album.. but the one that really gets me is of course Astral Weeks...  HeartHeart

that is musical perfection...

speaking of... not on the order of Astral Weeks of course hahhaha... but man this is a great album.. about to get the Raff review treatment..

I want to get his new live album where he does Astral Weeks in it's entirety. I saw a rare interview with him on CBS' Sunday Morning a couple of weeks ago. Very private man, but what a legend.

I let my wife handle all of the wedding details; however, 1 of my 2 requests was for us to dance to "Have I Told You Lately" from Avalon Sunset. Made myself clear to the DJ that it had to be Van's version and not Rod Stewart's. Big smile

E
Smile Isn't that funny you saying about wedding details I renewed my wedding vows with my wife recently at my 50th birtday party ( married 25 years, still got the hots for her) Heartand we used Neil Youngs Harvest Moon as the song played.
Even though I am a Rod fan you definately had the right version.. ........Horses for courses as we say
