My tastes are always expanding. Stern Smile

I just listened to Kayo Dot the other day, as well as Kate Bush. I plan on doing Beardfish today. Wink

I'm good, though! Went back to school today after spring break, but it wasn't too bad. How about yourself? Smile

I'm just giving you a rough time Wink. It was like "hmm, I have enough money for 2 cds unless I don't want to buy the gas to get home - I can buy both HC albums and I have a love/hate relationship with them, or I can explore a band that I apparently really need to get into. I picked the second option Smile)

Bloooooody Kayo Dot!!!! LOL

Haha, I know, I don't blame you.

And yeah, I listened to Lambency. It was intriguing... but I'm not sure I was captured by it a whole lot, and what I have heard of the other 2 albums hasn't struck me either. I'll keep trying.

How about Western Culture? What do you think of that one?

Haven't made up my mind- but probably better than In Praise of Learning.

That's the only unfortunate thing about Kayo Dot. They're a band that takes a lot of patience and listening to even start to grasp, let alone tell if you like them or not. I guess I just found them intriguing enough that I took my time with them until they finally clicked.

Wot's the deal, Rob? I'm sure most of us here (or me, Epi and Pat, anyways) can relate in some way or form

My all-time favorite Cheers' quote.  I've been known to say that a time or hundred.

Eh... was really missing an ex-girlfriend today (just today) for no apparent reason, suddenly found out she'd just split up with her boyfriend of a few months, we had a talk on the phone, got on really well, and then she texted to say that she'd never felt about anyone else the way she felt about me.

And my feelings are all horribly messed up.

(plus, there are two girls who seem interested in me [but it's not really mutual] whose feelings I don't want to offend too much... plus I sort of humoured one of them - went for coffee, so people think we're involved, even when we're really not)

Uuuuuuuugh, I hate that. MY advice is to just stay away from the ex and move on, but that's difficult. (you don't have to listen to me Wink)

I'll bet.  Well, tread cautiously there, obviously.

Well, Rob, I'll go a few steps further, and tell you... RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!!! People who first dump you, then run back to you when they suddenly find themselves alone, are very bad news. If she really loved you so much, she wouldn't have dumped you... Sorry to be blunt, but I've learned this the hard way.

Not quite the case, I'm afraid, I left her to try to sort my feelings out,,, never really been interested in anyone since.
