Oh boy...Jim and Mick giving out recommendations again...
But really Doom, these guys give better advice on Italian prog than anyone, so be sure to come by often throughout your RPI journey.
P.S. Micky, why isn't Oakley's mug with the rest of 'em?

Ah! the Allman Bros with the deliciously named Butch Trucks on drums ! Tied to the Whipping Post and Hot'Lanta , yummy stuff! Allman and Betts certainly defined duel guitars . Now Micky, perhaps you can understand why I dislike the Stones (or maybe not) , after Jones went , it all became blaaaaaaah.

Gentlemen and ladies , I just lenghtily reviewed Divae and I issued a challenge to review it more effusively . I believe it is a criminally overlooked gem of RPI. It has everything to like, including fab vocals . Am I perhaps "pazzo"?

micky... My list is taking the body. A little surprised but... If it is true that the Sun warms the earth and the rain washes the earth ... God exists.
P.s.: What it means in this sentence? ...I do not know!

Uhm... A list without PFM, Le Orme, New Trolls... Yes, this is my
TOP 10 NOT BIG RPI/ IP ARTISTS ALBUMS
Not RPI but with Donella Del Monaco (soprano voices, niece of the masterpiece tenor voice Mario Del Monaco). From my revirew: 'Donella write in the "Venetia Et Anima" that in "Biennale Musica 2003" (Venice) is codify the "Creative Solism", i.e. the idea of a performer who is "the author of himself, the performer's of other's writing, or the creator of a parallel score". And Donella continue: "I finally rediscovered the approach to music with which I have always had an affinity".'
A great Rock opera. Basically not proper an RPI album, only with strong connection with RPI. Not an easy album!
I consider this album as Prog Metal RPI for the atmospheres of music. In truth 'Shades Of Time' is only a Melodic Prog Metal album with the incredible voice of Morby but with strong connection with classic RPI.
4.
A perfect RPI album. Symphonic? Well... No. Beautiful album that present extreme great Prog in the vein of pure true RPI. For all who love the great music!
RPI with Jazz Rock connections. No keyboards but saxes, clarino and trombone for this great band... Sure an album that we love from the first listen!
Budget compilation by Claudio Simonetti with new version of Goblin and Horror films OST songs. This is not a compilation in the sense of compilation but compilation of verious songs. More close to Prog Metal... But extreme close to RPI!
7. 3.24 | 5 ratings Antologia (era Di Acquario)
Acoustic album. Extreme interesting if you love the more melodic side of Prog.
The definitive reborn of RPI. Not a perfect album... But fundamental for RPI.
Great example of song songwriter in Prog field. Postomous. This is a concept album in the world of Honosexuality.
I've reviewed this album with 4 stras but today my evalutation is 5 stars. Not Prog but Beat. But if you love the great music (and not only the Prog) this is a perfect album for you. Also if you hate the compilations!

Thomas, I agree--Divae is absolutely incredible! (Includes guests Gianni Leone from Balletto di Bronzo and Lino Vairetti from Osanna.) I think Greg Walker may have a couple more in stock, but they are out of print . . . going . . . going . . .
Mandy, there are some fabulous albums on there. Il Castello di Atlante took me a few listens to really appreciate, but now I really love it. Rocky's Filj is one of my all time favorites from RPI or any genre! And Opera Prima is very underrated as well.

same here.... I lifted it from an Allman Brothers fan site.... Jaimoe was busted.. as was Tiggs... the bus driver... even hunting dog traveling with them . Small town southern cops aren't renouned for their sense of humour hahhah. Not sure why his pic didn't make it on there to be honest....

In my list:
# 1 and 3 are not RPI... #1 is a great Avant Prog (also if Italian)...#3 are one of my preferred PM albums (and not because italian)... But also #10 is not proper a RPI album. That #10 be a PP music? I do not know!!! (#10, in any case, is an example of Italian Beat).
