As a whole I must say I still like Family Guy better, but just like Futurama did with the Simpsons, it´s begining to be better than the first show...

I haven't watched many American Dad episodes to give a honest response, but so far the ones I saw, seem like a poor man's Family Guy (and yes, I know it's the same guy who creates it)

Though, still no vote...

Definitely Family Guy. I don't really watch either show anymore, but I did see an episode of American Dad last week at it seems like the show is getting better.

American Dad had many good episodes on seasons 1-3. Lately, it's not that good tho.

Family guy's first two seasons were pretty fantastic, 3-4 were hit-and miss, but now it's painful to watch and worse than Family Guy, even if some occasional jokes are funny.

Well, and his other project, the youtube videos, are pathetic. I only enjoyed the mario one.

I actually think that´s the wordt of them all. The Sarah Jessica Parker is by far the best

"American Dad". I think this show is more focused than "Family Guy" and that the personalities of the characters are better developed.

One of my roommates always, and I mean always, has Family Guy on. I've grown to hate the sound of Peter Griffin's cackle.

That period started with the first episode and has thus far carried on through to last Sunday's new episode with no breaks in the middle.  Wink

Does anyone know why these two shows have so much "dead space" (really don´t know how to call it) between some episodes? I mean there where no episodes released in all dezember and january, does anyone know why that is?

Pretty much agreed.

Another thing I like about Family Guy is their use of musical numbers from jazz swing with "the member of the board" Frank Sinatra Jr, to full on song & dance numbers (usually for no reason whatsoever).

About the only thing I find wearing is the running 'Peter vs chicken fight scene' joke, but that's just a minor quibble.
