What gets to me a bit Mick is that they could have had the dogs out there the first weekend.  But because they consider her a runaway they didn't.  Then they think of the dogs 5 days later after 2 inches of rain hit the ground.  I think we lost some valuable information from that area.  We may have had real evidence she was there.  From the eyewittness that reported her almost jogging and that she was early tells me how excited she was to see her lamb!  I think they need to grill anyone who was on campus that morning in regards to farm deliveries or had any presence in the area.

I watched the video link of her mother on 'America's Most Wanted' - remarkable dignity & calm, given the situation.

Thinking of you & your family every day & praying for a good outcome.

Oh Brian, I'm so sorry for Stacy and your family.  What a horrible thing to have to go thru.  My heart so goes out to the parents.  My son is almost 31, and I get nervous when I don't hear from him after a few days, so I sure understand why her father would be in a deep depression at this point.

I'm sending prayers and many good vibes your way.  And please give Stacy my love. The song I'll listen to in honor of Amber... Moonchild

I was very sad to read this thread -- doubly so as the father of a teenage girl.

What can I say, Brian? My deepest sympathy and concern to Amber and her family, and yourself and Stacy.

I have brought this very scary story to the attention of my wife and children, and if no other good comes of it, at least know that you have given many of us pause for thought about what really matters in life. No doubt many here will have also done as I have, and talked again with our children about how to be safer when away from the house.

My thoughts and hopes for a happy conclusion remain with Amber and all who love her.

Thank you Linda I will pass this on.  Since Amber's favorite animal is the wolf I think Moonchild is very appropriate.

Stacy and I were asked to do a PowerPoint presentation for the third Candle Light Vigil tomorrow.  The two songs Stacy chose were In My Arms by Plum and The Light of Your Eyes by IZZ. Both are pretty appropriate. When I can get them converted to video and posted somewhere I will share with you all.

Thank you Peter. If anything good could come out is that kids/teens are more aware that bad things can happen and take precautions, like not walking alone, to heart.  Please everyone don't let this happen to yours! Believe me no one wants to experience this.

Sorry I haven't posted been out of town and then set bought and set up a new computer.

Nothing new to report. There was a subpoena presented to Yahoo regarding Amber's email and yahoo IM accounts.

http://www.cbs8.com/global/story.asp?s=10012681

I know the Mother was at the police station for a long time Tuesday night I assume going over this but we haven't heard back yet if there was anything pertinent. (I am going to assume no since nothing has happened.)

Anyway thanks for keeping this thread alive. It means a whole lot to all of us.

Brian,

Going to send the website link to a mess of work contacts today...don't know why that didn't occur to me earlier.  With the spiderweb effect that should reach quite a few around the country.

Hmmm. I'll start a thread about this on another forum I post, where there's a couple of people from the Escondido area.
