The music is amazing. I absolutely love it. I am probably going to be listening to this for a while! I can't believe you did this on your own! I wish I could do that, and make up such cool riffs and wow.
I'll need another listen to catch the lyrics. |

Excellent album Robert!!! You're a great composer and player! Unbelievable really.
My fave track is A Pearl In a Field, the climax in there is simply outstanding, LOVE it. And my fave guitar solo is in An Everlasting Kingdom, simply beautiful. Those 4 years of hard work, have finally made justice my friend! |

Thanks guys.
I'm genuinely glad you enjoy the music- it pleases me to no end. I actually have about five other albums "in the works," mostly just from songs I've started over the years. If it's not too ambitious, I'd like to put out two a year (but we'll just see how that goes ). |

^Awesome! Can't wait to hear them!
I hope this doesn't sound too pushy, but honestly this music is so good, I could see your putting a live band together and taking this music on the road! Have you tried to get your music professionally distributed? Even an indie label would be a good idea. I'm sure they would sign you up, man.

Either that, or seriously look into CDBaby Rob - looks like you can get some excellent distribution that way.

Thoughts of taking this to the stage has crossed my mind, sure. The trouble (at least where I am living) is finding people who would be willing and committed to playing my music. It's hard enough keeping together a weekend, bar-based cover band here...I know- I've dealt with people so flaky they should work for Kellogg's (okay, bad joke). As of right now, I'm just enjoying things as they are. If a label picks me up down the road, I'll evaluate the situation then. As for now, I'm just happy to have this music out there. But I sure could use a mansion and a private jet. |

Honestly, I've always wanted to go there. Not sure why- maybe it's the thought of being much closer to the south pole. I've never been on an airplane, by the way. |

Do you use a 5 string bass on one of the songs? I think one of the notes is too deep for a 4 string bass.

Perceptive ears, my friend (and my guess is you are talking about the long bass note in "A Pearl in a Field" just before the guitar theme???). I used a Spector 5-string bass on the first two songs. The other three feature the Fender Geddy Lee jazz bass. A complete list of my equipment can be seen here: http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=55539&PID=3143926#3143926 |

I don't remember what song I was thinking of, but it has a short repetition of E then B. At least thats what I think the notes are.

Five words is a challenge! I use a lot of acoustic guitar, organ, and Mellotron. Clean male vocals. It's a good bit like Spock's Beard's V or Echolyn's Mei, if I had to compare it. |
