I did earlier, but it's just a cool Aubrey Beardsley drawing. I really like his work, and this one was not too overtly sexual as some of his other work...

Did you see the drawings he made for Oscar Wilde's Salome? I love 'em.

RIP in bossa nova heaven.

^ You pulled it off fine Rob. It really does sound like a lame joke James would make.

Yeah, glad that worked.

I need to learn how to put on a decent South African accent sometime. It's not really very hard.

Liszt is an absolute god.
Sometimes I go through a phase of listening to Liszt and Chopin on repeat.

Les Preludes was a tad disappointing but the rest was great.  Oh, except for the orchestral version of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 in C-Sharp Minor.

I've heard the piano version and it is far superior to the orchestral one.

I'm more of a fan of solo piano music than orchestral music, but that may be partly because I typically listen to that stuff before going to sleep and I don't want my head blown off at night time by a raging orchestra suddenly kicking in the and the volume dramatically increasing, so you can see how solo piano is more calming there.

So do I... As a matter of fact, years ago, when I was working on my MA dissertation (which, incidentally, was about a contemporary of his), I visited an exhibition of Beardsley's work in Rome. I even bought the catalogue, which unfortunately remained in my old home in Rome, and will now pass to my brother and his family.

Raff, that reminds me.  Do you have a transcription of your dissertation to read?  I am interested in reading it.  I suspect you have a lot of interesting things to say about folklore and faeries. Big smile

For now, I'll add those albums with the other covers and they can be changed later.  I'll add them later.

Maybe tonight?  I'll try.  Or at least I'll try to try.
