I couldn't help but focus on that great acoustic guitar (and my wife loved the drums, for what that's worth).

Robert, my first impressions are 100% positive.  Your songwriting is outstanding.  Anymore this particular style of prog isn't quite my cup of tea, but I can't see a lot of others around here not loving this.

Robert... not my style ... not enough caterwauling Italian for my personal tastes hahhaha. Wink But very...very good.  No idea we had such a talent among us.... Clap  You'll be a FINE addition to the archives.

maybe on your next album you might enlist some Rickenbacker bass.... nothing puts the snap, crackle and pop into prog like an overdriven Rick LOL

If I had 3k, I'd splurge on a Parker Fly guitar.  And if I had 3k more, I'd get a 4001.  Wink

In the meantime, you can loan me yours.  Tongue

I did attempt to create my own version of that sound, particularly on the longest track.  That's actually a Geddy Lee Fender Jazz bass run through a guitar processor (that features bass amp/cab modeling).

I'm finishing this up now - Robert, I can't stress enough how impressed I am with this.  Just very, very well done.

Shocked

Part of that, to be fair, was me dragging my ass.  But I wrote so many things that did not wind up on this album.  The whole project evolved very slowly, but I'm pleased with the final result.

Would you believe the title track began with me dabbling in writing techno music?  LOL

Wow. Really? Embarrassed That means a lot coming from you, man. I can only hope that my project will evolve into something worthy of your praise.

P.S. I just got through listening to the whole thing, and I must say, it is quite fantastic! I really enjoyed how the songs flowed, and I was never bored. Very good songwriting, my friend. And yes, I could hear a Squire-ish type of trebly bass sound here and there. Really cool! Clap

So, when is your album getting added to the 'chives, then? I need to review it now!

Thanks, Micah.  I really appreciate your gracious comments.  I also look forward to hearing what you're working on.

I handed off the tracks to Ivan for his team to evaluate, and if they say no, maybe I can get it put in eclectic.

If only I had money to listen to it...I might be getting a job soon, so it may come to pass. Hopefully.
