Topic: Deterior! Posted: February 22 2009 at 20:28 |
This guy is seriousely a fantastic musician/songwriter . . . that is, if you enjoy his sludge-metal stylings, which I do, quite a bit.
Anyone else here discovered this guy yet? He's on the Archives, and he gives his albums away for free, so there really isn't any excuse for not trying out his stuff.
Maybe I'm the only one here, but wow, I love Deterior!

You're not alone...
I've been keeping up with his available discography... and listen to them quite often, "Antimonument" blew me away and is still my favorite, though I do need to listen to "Cleanse" more..

Downloading "Cleanse" right now, thanks for the topic. I'll let you know what I think once I give it a good listen.

^Thanks. I just got "Free Hand" the other day, and when I put the hand from it in, I felt my avatar was off balance. Plus, my avatar wasn't metal enough.

I'm gonna be offline for a while, so you should not only post your impressions of "Cleanse" in this thread, but also PM me so that I will be sure to read it in case this thread gets buried during my time away.
Take care, all.

I have listened to "Cleanse" just a little bit in the past two days, and I have to say that it sounds great! The first album I thought of when I heard it was "In the Absence of Truth", which I really didn't enjoy too much. But hey, I'm a bit new to post metal, so maybe the comparison doesn't work for many other people.
I enjoyed it a ton though. Great atmosphere. I think I even heard a couple notes that reminded me of "Dead Flag Blues" by GYBE! Will definetely be listening to this one a lot more.
Thanks for the reccomendation!
