Chris ... Coops ... T.Rox ... Dinosaur ... I will generally respond to any of them.
Coops is in my profile, and that is a nickname in itself ... and the guys at work call me DJ Coops, which has stuck from my days on Community Radio.

Cat's name. Call me Mignon.
First name would work too. Tae just sounds like a misspelling of tea. |

Although my handle on this site is John McIntyre, my use of it stems from some illicit sexual activity I participated in when I was 13. I had to travel to and from school by train in West Cumbria, England, past the Sellafield Atomic plant. The school taught me and the rest of the class the "Facts of Life"! On the way back home, a few of us wanted to try it out. I finished up in a toilet on the train with a girl doing a bit of 'exploration', but (fortunately) there wasn't enough room to perform properly. Many years later, I read the original M*A*S*H book, where I learned how Trapper John got his name. He was 'well away' with his date in a train toilet and was caught "in the act" by the train conductor. She renaged on the arrangement by yelling "He trapped me, he trapped me!" Trapper John's full name was John Francis Xavier McIntyre.
I also had the nick-name Taff, as my ancestry is predominantly Welsh.

Well, girls and boys, I have not enough reliability to name every one of you
by your own name.I`ve been here only since last November so I don´t feel
as I can talk to some of you by your real names.
For me, most of my lols call me Caban , as my first surname is Cabanzón
,but it´s quite remembering of a spanish film character: Dr. Cavan.
I just prefer Nando,´cause my first name is Fernando and most people call me like
that.

I remember one time when someone has called me by a name here, and it was my real name. It felt weird to some extent since I'm so used to hiding behind this user name or Pedro in some other forums, but it also felt kind of nice, more personal, fuzzy and warm. So I guess I prefer the real name. I feel I'm more Pekka than this stupid thing I made up some night under foggy circumstances. Which of course somewhat translates to Keppa4yearsold

Well, whenever people call me by name, then it feels like there is a closer connection with that person, so for me, the people who call me by my first name are typically people I've chatted via PMing alot, and have therefore formed a more straightforward friendship with.
My 'Nickname' is really either 'Mike' or 'Kain', the former of which I have only been called by one person, and the latter is what people know me by online when not incredibaly close to me. |

I really haven't been to a forum where people have called me by anything other than my username. Or toppy, which they sometimes call me. So I think it'd be weird if they did use my real name or nickname. However, I don't really care, so that's what I voted for.
And I'm not expecting anyone really to remember this, but my nickname is Miah, which is short for Jeremiah in real life. Yeah, Miah does sound like a girl's name when you say it, but I'm so used to it I really don't care.
How do you pronounce that? Puh-noom?

In environments like this, by username. Among friends and acquaintances, by nickname.

I don't care. My first name is Stewart, my stage name is Stool Man, and I have a couple of nicknames. I also answer to "hippy" among my non-hippy friends.
