This is from Yesworld:
February 11, 2009 - Yes Members on Rockline Postponed Due to a medical emergency tonight's scheduled appearance will not occur. Instead Rockline will present an encore performance with Jon Anderson from February 25, 2004, which includes a special acoustic performance. Apparently Chris had a blood clot, and isn't doing to well. I have only heard this through other people, and it might be exaggerated, but something is certainly not well with him. Here is the scuttle bug from Yesfans: Yesfans Forum Get better! Edited by OzzProg - February 11 2009 at 17:48 |

Considering all the losses the musical world has been sustaining lately, this does not bode well.
That said, I pray for Chris's speedy recovery. He is by far my favorite member of Yes. Edited by Epignosis - February 11 2009 at 20:41 |

Very worrying indeed - I was listening to Yessongs on the way to work for the first time in a long while & just marvelled at his playing.
Fingers crossed... |

There's so little info available making it difficult not to suspect that this is very serious. Here's hoping that this giant of Prog makes a speedy recovery.

Oh no! Chris is Micky's idol, and if anything happened to him, he'd be devastated - and I would too. Keeping our finger crossed on your behalf, Chris!

(Let's hope nothing terrible happens , I would hate to think of the suicide rate at Yesfans; a bunch of nutcases over there. Can you say "Obsession?!" ) |

Sadly we live in an era where we'll be seeing more and more of the the first generation of prog musicians retiring or worse.

Well, some of them SHOULD retire (no, I will NOT tell any name). But it's true that there has been a high number of deaths among prog-rock (or even prog-related) musicians this past year. |

Well I wasn't expecting to read this. First we had that Jon Anderson health scare, now Chris? I do hope he recovers and that everything works out for him.
