It's called a man-crush, Dylan, and it's okay to have one or two. Everyone has them. For example, I have one on Alan Watts. And Frank Zappa in some pictures. And Bill Hicks a bit. And Stanely Kubrick. ANd Kurt Vonnegut. And Christian Vander. And Arvo Pärt. And Steve Reich. And Philip Glass. But it's totaly normal.

Hell, you'd be flat out WEIRD if you didn't have a man-crush going for Zappa and Vander.

I haven't had a man crush in 3 years until I saw young Stalin.
Good lord, I'd hit that.

I'd hit that with a hammer and sickle, if you know what I mean.

And Terry Riley. And Michael Palin. And Lenin. And La Monte Young. And Aldous Huxley. And Michael Nyman. And George Carlin. And Trotsky. And William S. Burroughs. And Allen Ginsberg.

Um.

I think that's it.

I like Burroughs in principle, but in practice (ie actually reading his work), not so much.

I love Burrough's stuff.
Don't think I'd f**k him though.

Have you seen the movie of Naked Lunch? It's quite bearable and very good. Also, the book 'Ghosts of Chance' is extremely bearable, very short, and hilariously depressing. It's about LIbertatia/Libertalia and the end of human kind through a disease called "The Jesus Syndrome". It's great. And it's about 40 pages long.

I dunno, I just tried to read Naked Lunch a couple of times and I never got more than about 10 pages in before giving up.

I really liked Junkie and Speed from Burroughs. Speed was a fun read.

don't think that's the end of my list, Eric is coming, and also, I think Gilliam is one of the best too, he's overlooked.

Dylan, watch Brazil. Terry Gilliam made it. It's on youtube. I can describe so perfectly you basically don't even need to watch the movie:

If 1984 had been written and directed by Monty Python.
