Hey everyone, how's it going?
I'm unusually happy this morning. :)

Glad to hear it!
I'm usually happy all the time, but I'm aware that I'm very fortunate that my circumstances permit me to do so.
|
What circumstances do you mean?
And I think the reason I am happy is I had lunch with some hot girl who I found out is really into philosophy and cool music.
|
Basically just a "life is good" type of thing: great career, wife and (soon to be) 2 sons, plenty of prog, etc.
|
Life for me, is a blank which I am unsure how to fill in.
|
At the risk of sounding like a dork, when I (and all my friends) were your age, we felt the exact same way.
|
I'm sure a lot of people go through feeling similarly, but for me it's been like that for the last 4 or so years. I've quite adapted to it, and more often than not, enjoy it.

It's been kind of busy. Laundry to take care of, a couple of hours working on that math "paper" (done!), dinner to make, bass to play, taking out the garbage, e-mails to send. Now I'm free though, and I'm gonna enjoy it

Pip Pyle's playing on Bryden 2-step Pt. 1 is beyond ludicrous.

He's generally quite good. Got a bit of ELP (the debut) going on now. Anyway, off to kill time, because if I have a lot of time, I don't get much done in it.

I love the focus and drive of this album. The debut was a little more reflective and free-form. This is more concise and punchy.

This sound is, I think, fairly close to what Dave Stewart had in mind when forming this band - in particular, "Squarer for Maud" to me embodies the "rock orchestra" approach he was going for.

I listened to Peter Gabriel 3 (well, part of it) on the bus today. Haven't heard it in ages.

I listened to Leg End while shoveling the driveway.

I love listening to the most weird music while doing random tasks. Sometimes it serves as a soundtrack, other times it totally conflicts the internal world (headphones) and external world (the location) and makes things interesting.
