The cinematography and music is brilliant of course, but as a whole I wasn't very impressed. Not much really happens and I guess that's kind of its point because the movie seems to be a bit of a dead-pan satire of the counterculture of the day but even as that it's not as good as it could have been. Maybe I was disappointed because I expected it to be as surrealistic as the director's previous movie Blow Up?

RockNRolla - The new Guy flick.  I thought it was pretty cool and up to standards.  Supposedly part of a trilogy, so I'm anxious for the next 2 if they ever get made.  Plenty of funny parts too.  7.5/10

The Frontrunners     Straight-forward documentary about a student body election at New York City's most prestigious high school.  Interesting if a little slow.

You should see "Viva la Muerte!" by Fernando Arrabal or "Montana  Sacra" by Alejandro Jodorowski. "A Clockwork Orange" is tame compared to those movies.
As to the boobs: You are probably located in the USA. In Europe we have no problem with showing boobs (and more) in movies. Boobs would definitely not be a reason to cut a movie in Europe.

le deuxieme souffle - Another JP Melville for me. Not as great as Le Samourai or Le Cercle Rouge or Les Doulos, but still friggin awesome.

North Shore - A terrible surfing movie.  Of course that was the point in watching it.  It was quite funny.  Most of the surfers in Hawaii were apparently Australian.  And there was a goofy cover of Funkytown.  

For a Few Dollars More (1965) - I haven't seen this since I was a kid, I'll be watching more of these spaghetti westerns in the near future, one thing that so good about these movies is they're straight forward macho-actions flicks with no fat what so ever, never a boring moment the momentum is always forward 8/10

Throne of Blood (1957) - wow, this was excellent, probably will be my favorite Kurosawa next to Seven Samurai, Washizu was a maddening character, a fabulous interpretation of Macbeth 9/10

Appaloosa (2008) - movie started off strong, a lot of little turns in the plot with a handful of mini-climaxes, it seemed a bit too long though and had some elements (like Everett's love interest) that were downright boring and didn't add anything to the story, wasn't entirely bad for a modern Western but the pacing was a bit herky-jerky and had a tendency to make me lose interest after a while, 6/10

Johnny English 4/10

Rowan Atkinson imitating James Bond/The Pink Panther. A couple of mildly amusing scenes, but Atkinson doesn't hold a candle to Sellers' portrayal of the archetypal idiot.

Iron Man 6/10

Hmmh, Iron Man was a relatively fun movie, but as to how does this differ from all the other superhero movies - I do not know. Entertaining and harmless, but will be forgotten the next day. Overhyped, imo.

Mar Adentro 8/10

I've seen a lot of movies dealing with similar themes (quadriplegia, euthanasia) lately, Mar Adentro is definitely among the best of them. It doesn't offer any easy answers, but definitely raises questions about life, moral, dignity and also pride - you know the drill. Javier Bardem is becoming one of my favorite actors. Recommended.

W. - Stone said this wasn't a biased film, just a story.  Well it was quite obviously biased, although I didn't mind.  It was quite funny.  cheap looking.  cheesey.  but the funny moments made it some what worthwhile.  5/10

I've only watched the first two parts so far, but . . . WOW!

I only wish I would recognize more of the references. The whole thing practically consists of quotations from movies, literature, music and paintings . . . at a very rapid pace.
