I just looked outside and in my garden I noticed that Emerson Lake and Palmer were setting-up,which was nice.

I wonder what they will play?

Hmmm you guys have more snow than us!

I have now made the trip to pick up my car.  My mate lives on a new housing estate and most of the roads are untrodden and un-carred (yes, I did just make that up), so it was very slippery!  Bearing in mind I drive an Automatic too... I was lucky though.

Once out of the estate, all was fine though.

The walk from the bus to my car was hazardous though... grrr!

Oh and I took a photo of the garden just now and I have a photo still from the last time it snowed, so I shall upload the new one and compare it!

That's it - I've had enough can I go back to work now please? Cry

Grrr! Angry Debs and Alex are watching day-time TV - why do all the wimin presenters have such high-pitched, squeaky and highly irritating voices - I swear they are close to hyperventilating just because it's flippin' snowing --- even defeats my noise-cancelling headphones Unhappy

Bugger - it's snowing heavy again...  Ouch
What?

And why are my parents at work? Shocked

Actually, I'm glad they are. Big smile

I am firmly of the opinion that daytime tv should be banned!!!! It's all utter row-locks and is to blame for all the ills of society.

When I was a kid there was no daytime tv (or internet) and did we have a childhood obescity problem? (well there was always the odd dumpling, but not like you see kids today! )

It's UTTER DRIVVEL!

Everytime CH4 repeats that thing we did with the Pendies a couple of years ago it's about 11am on a weekday and we get dozens of calls/texts/e-mails saying "we saw you on telly!" which is nice, but also a bit shocking that SO many people are watching TV at that time of the day.  Get off yer bums!

Sorry Dean, your family are exempt of course from the above grey-rant, but daytime TV is pretty hideous isn't it? Dead

Nice Snow James, it's coming down here now, so I hope to build a snow wizard later! Wink

Only one of my team made it in to work today. The rest of us are working from home, but the Bank's network can only handle 4000 connections so a lot of people haven't been able to dial in. Even the mobile network has been overloaded at times!
The kids are enjoying it though, as the schools are all shut.

Dear Workers

It's really nice up north. About three inches of snow so far with the promise of at least the same again tonight. The Met Office rainfall (snow) radar looks very promising from about four o'clock onwards. Or if you are in Birmingham - four oclock. Just been out snowballing with the kids but can't build a snowman cos it is the wrong type of snow. Hopefully the new batch will be OK.

Anyway back to a cup of coffee, a couple of biccies and Countdown in a few mins.Smile

Just started again and looks set for a while.
The radar image shows a continuous area of snow between the SE and here.

Its been snowing in Brum for pretty much the whole day, though not very heavy.

Unfortunatly, I've got to go back to college for my late Live Sound class and then walk the dog when I get home, what fun!Ouch

Agree - except for repeats of 60s and 70s shows. Today I watched a repeat of The Champions - with Peter Wyngarde as the baddie. Excellent!!Embarrassed

Some things you just can't do without.

Snowman built - street snowball fight fought. Honours even I reckon was the score and things didn't escalate into all out war. Forget your football match - snowballs at 20 paces!!
