I didn't figure my origins had to do with how early I tried something. I started drinking when I was 16, but I suspect that had little to do with me being half Anglo/Australia and 1/4 Spanish and 1/4 Filipino. It had a lot more to do with the fact I could buy it because I had a beard when I was 16 and alcohol vendors believed I was at least 18

I see your point, but I think both French and Danish people consider alcohol an important part of a good meal. Not necessarily about getting drunk for the sake of it.
Hey, are you guys into Gentle Giant? I got three albums and I've been wondering which I should get next...

I tend to drink alcohol, mainly for the taste now rather than getting drunk. The drink to get drink every time I drank phase ended last year really, now I can easily just enjoy a beer or 2 after work or something. I've never really drank alcohol with dinner, just something I never really thought "yeah I want to do that".

I really like the debut, Acquiring The Taste and Three Friends. Haven't really gotten into the others, although I really like Free Hand.

Cool, I don't have either Three Friends or Free Hand, so I'll write that down.
I planning my wishlist: I'll be doing to three hour drive to go the greatest record shop I've ever set foot in during spring break and can't wait already (5 weeks to go, actually, pathetic, I know)

I often drink a glass of wine along with my dinner (if I cook something nice, usually Italian in that case) or sit down with a beer to relax in the evening. I really enjoy the richness of taste you come in contact with. And the calming effect is naturally great as well. Drinking to get drunk? Parties of course, but they are getting fewer and fewer now that you've been in uni for a while. People mature in that sense.

In A Glass House is interesting, but I think it's a little bit cold and mechanical.

For every 10 times I drink, maybe only about 2 at most of those times is to get hammered smashed faced.

I see where you're coming from, but to me it just has so many great tracks, particularly "The Runaway", "Experience", and the title track.
