Hatfield and the North - Hatfield and the North
I don't recognise the other house cover... odd. |

Try not to mention the albums I've already guessed.

I'll give you that, though of course it's actually Zamla Mammaz Manna (yes, I know it's pedantic but I deliberately limited myself to one album per band so I wanted to make that clear). As for Tuzvihar's "contribution"... I'm afraid he's spoilt it for all of us. I can hardly go awarding a magic bean to whoever gets it right now, can I? I'll have to make a different quiz now, or I'll never be rid of the damn thing! |

Indeed. That coupled with your correct identification of the Jan Dukes De Grey album leaves us with a mere 3 covers remaining. Seeing as no one's going to be winning a magic bean this time, I'll make it easier for you:
Any guesses? |

It's a corker! Nothing else quite like it. The other two are also RIO/Avant albums (admittedly rather obscure ones, though). If no one gets them soon I'm going to have to start dropping some really big hints. |

The album cover to the first is really familiar...
It's a European chamber prog type band I think and I've heard the album! I just don't know what it is. Edited by James - January 30 2009 at 16:23 |

Maybe not European... But still chamber prog. And amazing too. |

Congratulations!
I was serious when I said I'd make another quiz, by the way. I'm already working on it... That Lars Hollmer(/Looping Home Orchestra) album is, incidentally, one of my all-time favourite records. The compositions are all classic Hollmer and the line-up do a fantastic job of bringing them to life. There's a real rawness and energy to it which is lacking in some of his studio albums (though I wouldn't say those albums are cold or clinical, just more introspective, really). Frith on guitar/violin particular (and somewhat unsurprisingly) stands out on that album. Do check it out. |

Do you have any Accordion Tribe with Hollmer and Klucesevic (sp.)?
And I still cannot get over the fact I didn't recognise that Pocket Orchestra cover... I mean, yes, I recognised it but couldn't remember what it was! It's probably because I don't have it on CD. Edited by James - January 30 2009 at 16:41 |

I've got the first accordian tribe album on mp3 but I've not listened to it anywhere near as much as Hollmer's solo/Looping Home Orchestra albums. I like Hollmer as a keyboardist just as much as an accordianist, which could explain why I don't find it as interesting.

Ah I see.
I have most of Hollmer's solo albums, plus an Accordion Tribe album but I'm not sure if I have any Looping Home Orchestra. I shall have to do some digging. Edited by James - January 30 2009 at 16:53 |

Hi again,
Here's a set of 30 albums for you to guess: Forgive me my previous "contribution" please. And Rico, indeed, I don't have (almost) any real friends. |
