Well yes but even the best parents in the world cannot easily stop who their precious son(s) or daughter(s) hangs about with.

There's a few people who were in my year at secondary school who were high achievers.  Indeed, one or two even went to Oxford University.

Yet they never wore their tie correctly (and their uniform was never right either).  It was always a little stumpy thing, frayed at the bottom and not tight to the neck.

Then move on 12 or so years... I check out Friends Reunited notice said individuals doing well fore themselves but notice they have typed out everything in "text speak".

ARGH!

I have no time for such idiotic irrelevances.

As for me.  Well I did average at school (I under-achieved actually; I was capable of doing better) but I always wore my uniform correctly and never buckled to peer pressure.

I also try to write/type correctly at all times.  Yes, even when text-messaging.

I guess I have never been like my peers.  I am proud of that fact too.

The Sex 101 class, is that the one that sucks?

I had a math teacher who couldn't teach.
That alone took me from being an A average at math, to dropping the class altogether and wanting to do the subject again because that teacher made the experience frustrating beyond what you could imagine, so I certainly know how it feels to have a teacher who sucks monkey balls at their job.

Fortunately, I'm really good at teaching myself.

I can't imagine what it's like for students who aren't as good at that in this class. It's suicide.

At least she isn't a tough grader. The only thing is that we just don't learn as much, obviously.

Yeah, similar problem here.

She seems to be knowledgeable, but she starts the class by saying we're going to cover something... and then goes off on a tangent for the remaining 50 minutes. It's really odd and just makes things confusing.

Well, I don't expect her to make it exciting even, I just want to LEARN and not do all of the learning by just reading the book on my own. We don't even do anything in class.

Besides, at least the subject matter is a little interesting for me. Could be better for sure, could be worse, but man.

I agree 100%, especially with the bolded part. I think it would also be more interesting if getting on tangents didn't make her babble on and waste an entire class period.
