I do so sometimes... I have a lot of messages I want to keep and yes, I realise I can forward them to my e-mail but I never do.

Hmm, I don't want to say this but...
Peter Hammill seems to have "borrowed" from a Tomaso Albinoni composition.
I was listening to Classic FM yesterday and a piece by him came on and the violin section reminded me strongly of the main theme to Refugees.
Odd... very odd.
It was one of his Oboe concertos, I believe.

Listen to some Albinoni Oboe Concertos and let me know which one sounds like Refugees. I really was taken about when I heard it... There's only 12 to check. In fact, there's less than 12, 'cause it's one of the ones with violin and oboe on it: The 12 concertos
- Concerto for violin in B flat major, Op. 9, No. 1 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for oboe in D minor, Op. 9, No. 2 (I. Allegro e non presto, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for 2 oboes in F major, Op. 9, No. 3 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for violin in A major, Op. 9, No. 4 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for oboe in C major, Op. 9, No. 5 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for 2 oboes in G major, Op. 9, No. 6 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for violin in D major, Op. 9, No. 7 (I. Allegro, II. Andante e sempre piano, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for oboe in G minor, Op. 9, No. 8 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for 2 oboes in C major, Op. 9, No. 9 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for violin in F major, Op. 9, No. 10 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for oboe in B flat major, Op. 9, No. 11 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)
- Concerto for 2 oboes in D major, Op. 9, No. 12 (I. Allegro, II. Adagio, III. Allegro)

Wow. That's not a bad suggestion, but right now Amon Düül II is flowing, later Gilgamesh and a Piano Concerto by Prokofiev. I've gone mad about them.

I'm finally listening to Berlin Djungle - so if you're reading this Henry Plainview, so far this is delicious madness.

Which Gilgamesh album? Both are excellent. Pat, how did you like Cartoon? And I may look for those Albinoni Oboe Concertos... I quite liked it even if it did sound like Refugees in the violin part. I do like some baroque.
