Van Der Graaf Generator, Gong, PFM, Steve Hillage, Trettioariga Kriget!

Anyone who fancies to come, it'd be a blast? Tongue

I guess I'm forced to go to Nearfest then. I really didn't want to go, but with VdGG, Gong, and PFM I don't think I have a choice.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

Just saw the lineup on the website. What a shock... too bad I can't go.

I should really try to get up to this one - but I doubt I'll be able to.

I'll probably end up going, it's pricey but the lineup is well worth it.  I thought I'd never get to see Peter Hammill again (in VdGG or otherwise) after the last NEARfest, so that alone is enough reason for me.  Not to mention Gong, Steve Hillage, PFM, Supersister... and the other bands seem good too!

I heard from Mauricio Sotello that Cabezas De Cera will be playing there for the first time.

Yeah, they are.  I haven't listened to them yet, but their description seems promising, and I'll probably try to listen to all the NEARfest bands I'm not familiar with (Quantum Fantay, Beardfish, Oblivion Sun, that Italian band) before going.

so far it's..

Friday: VdGG and Steve Hillage Band

Saturday: Gong (headline) ... opening act, Cabezas de Cera.

Sunday: P.F.M.  #3 slot: Supersister

Slots on the days haven't been fully announced yet, they haven't brought in all the bands yet...
Quantam Fantay
Beardfish
Oblivion Sun

Starting to make plans now... Big smile.   Always wanted to take vacation in June and not happy with the Progpower USA line-up this year.  So I may switch to the Nearfest annually...

California has one every year also...  One in Pittsburgh  ... and there's prog day in North Carolina.. and there's the progpower usa that's in Atlanta (this one mixes power metal and prog metal though)...

Thanks!

Looks like nearfest has the most bands I like.

I'm very excited about Van Der Graaf Generator, Beardfish and PFM.  And I hope Fish performs clutching at straws on friday night.  =)
