I've seen very little on the matter of Neal Morse's departure from Spock's Beard in the forum (I have searched, honest!). Do people have an opinion about it? I'd be intersted to know.

Spock's Beard has been a bit of a goldmine for me as I've just discovered 'The Light'. I subsequently popped down to my local HMV and nabbed the double DVD with 'Don't Try This At Home' and 'The Making of V'.

I didn't like them at first as it sounded like they were standing on the shoulders of giants like, Yes, Genesis, etc but the more I listened, the more I liked it and little by little, I have become a big fan.

I was sad  to see Neal go and I wondered how other people felt about it.

It was a pity for sure, and for him to cause the demise of Transatlantic too was a double blow.

Things change though, and he did make some great music with them, and indeed on his own.

Never say never though, maybe they'll get back together sometime.

Never backward with the provocative remarks are we Velvet?

For does it not say in the bible, 'Moses came down from the mountain to greet his people with two stone table and he said unto them - I have returned with the menu AND the wine list.'

I can't bring myself to dis a guy's religious belief. The Beard are still there and I still like what they do. I bought Neal's 'Testify' on DVD yesterday so I'll give you my opinion on if he's still 'go it', over the weekend.

Quite liked his quote about not originally wanting to go to church on Sunday evenings because the X-files was on...

Thanks Sigod ! Well you know me by now, Iīm one of the meek who will inherit the dirt  Spockīs Beard without Neal is like Marillion without Fish or Genesis without Gabriel IMO

And.. Religious people makes me sick !!!!!! I have NO respect for them at all !!!

Any dvd called "Testify" by a certified religious nut is something I will stay well clear of.

Talking about Christianity in Prog, Geoff Mann from Twelfth Night was an ordained priest. I met him a few times and he was a funky guy and never shoved his faith in your face.

And yes, Testimony is the correct title (bad sigod - smack!, bad sigod - slap!).

I have no problem with religion except when people try to 'convert' me to their cause. My religion is music and I believe that is enough to last me a lifetime.
