Having never listened to KISS myself, I'm not quite sure what's the next album I could have these kids listen to lead them in the right direction. Mustn't be too harsh of a shock, but it would have to be good. Some very accessible metal-prog, perhaps?

Well, umm, Images and Words is regarded as one of the benchmark prog-metal albums, FWIW.
It isn't that 'extreme' as such.

Yeah, I'm sure the High School Musical and Tokio Hotel infatuated girls in my classroom would love that...Tongue

edit: hum, not to mention my boss (ie, the principal). Safer to stick with Dream Theatre. Should really make an effort to buy some of their stuff some day.

High School Musical, ohh.

Tell them, that really the songs in High School Musical were really meant to sound like this and then put on a Meshuggah CD.

Speaking of that movie, even though I've never seen it, one of the lead role females is particularly cuteHeart

Oh, cinema's magic power!

I love the film Sense And Sensibility when I was a teen, and it occured to me recently that Emma Thompson (I adore her as an actress though) was pushing 50 in it, yet she still played a 21 years-old girl. Talk about self-indulgence.

All right, is it just me or is Francesco di Giacomo the greatest singer that walks the earth?

And is Il Bacio della Medusa the greatest new band of the 00s?
