The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus.  It's impossible to overestimate the impact of its discovery.

I'm pretty sure sliced bread holds that title. Plus, without the wheel, the iPod would have to have a more conventional way of selecting songs, thus making it uncool.
Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal.

It has to be music. Come on man... Either that or clothes.

I once invented this thing I call the Perpetuum Mobile. It's pretty cool, but it's not exactly what I wanted it to be. I tried to make a device, an engine of some sort, that would run on its own without any power. The problem with my Perpetuum Mobile was that not only did it run without any power, but it also produced great amounts of energy that I had absolutely no use for. I loaded a few batteries with it, launched a couple of rockets, but then I got bored, took the Perpetuum Mobile apart and built an ice cream machine instead. Ice cream machines are pretty cool.

Except when it's really cold out and in the cases of certain people, I don't like clothes. Tongue

I was about to talk about nuclear power, but it would be controversial.
Instead, I think of contraception.

HA! And the guitar!

And Slarti, I think the invention of clothes was due to the pre-emption of anyone seeing you without them in the future
