So Happy to have a reason to actually join the Prog Archives Family.  Last years voting was stimulating to no end.  The yearly and all-time lists are a great guide and I am happy to admit to owning the vast majority of albums listed as top 50.  So I want to vote in this years mark-up and since the criteria are not for the BEST albums but are instead favorite, I think it best to go through my playlists and post my all time most played albums.

These represent the music I have either enjoyed for my whole life, or have discovered more recently and have adopted as my favorites.  Jethro Tull's Thick as Brick would be at the top of my all-time best list, followed by some Yes, Pink Floyd and Supertramp if the list was restricted to  Prog Only and my criteria were for "artistically best and significant'.  There are more than a thousand albums in my collection and all of it goes round to be selected.  Some albums though get chosen with forethought and purpose, they have risen to the top.  There are  twelve above.  I have gone through my collection to see if any others should be added, but I think that the actuarial choices that are represented here are the most authentic.  Popol Vuh, and Amun Dul could be worthy, but they didn't have the play count, although they have been in the collection for a long time.  The Mojave 3 is a recent addition in comparison yet has arrived at number two.  I don't believe that The Urbosleeks will be at all familiar to most, as they had one album and vanished.  They are very progressive.  A Louisianna group translated to Georgia and then disintegrated.  The inclusion of three original NEKTAR albums is no surprise to me. They are outstanding and I play them often.  Now I will add more albums to the list, but the playcounts devolve rapidly after this and the counts are diminished as well.  Extra special thanks for keeping the voting open so long and I hope my vote doesn't crash the  other participants expectations.
