I just got back to college, I'm partially happy, partially indifferent. It's really hot in my dorm, which is a somewhat welcoming contrast to my freezing cold room at home (couldn't sleep well lately because of it) - why can't it ever be just right?

This could be one of the most win posts of the year.

Fo shizzle. Their new album is very awesome - it might even become my favorite after further listening! I only have the leaked vinyl rip at the moment, so the actual thing probably sounds even better.

It is ![Embarrassed Embarrassed](smileys/smiley9.gif) wonderful ![Heart Heart](smileys/smiley27.gif) One of my absolute favourites. Life ![Thumbs Up Thumbs Up](smileys/smiley20.gif) 's good here. I'm currently trying to sync stuff to mitunes (esp. Baba O'Riley ![Thumbs Up Thumbs Up](smileys/smiley20.gif) and the whole Fairy Feller/Nevermore/March of the Black Queen trilogy).

No much, nearly time for dinner.
But I am glad to see someone on here actually enjoying mainstream songs ![Tongue Tongue](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley17.gif)

I thought most of us enjoyed mainstream songs? Deep Purple, the Who, Rainbow, pro-hair rock/metal Whitesnake, Beatles.... The list goes on. I guess we mostly go on about prog all the time though, for obvious reasons

I guess so.
Although, Rainbow is not that mainstream in some place.
Actually spoke with a music teacher at my school who didn't know who Jethro Tull was the other day ![Confused Confused](https://www.progarchives.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif)

Yeah, I guess mainstream is as relative as anything else...and that teacher further proves the point. But now that you mention it, our music teacher never even mentioned prog rock when we had music history (1940s and onward).

We had it split in two parts. "Classical" classical and 20th century, which was mostly 40s and onwards.
