Also, Harry, why does all post-hardcore sound the same to me? I can barely even tell the difference between the songs on Relationship of Command, but I liked them, so it was ok. But then the other albums sounded the same too...And now I'm listening to Drive Like Jehu, and it also sounds the same... :/

Well, I have listened to Relationship of Command, probably over 150 times in my life, and at that point, the songs are pretty distinctive.

Have you only just heard Drive Like Jehu for the first time or something after I suggested them in the Post Rock/Math/Metal thread?

I think Tuzivar thinks they cut off at 300, not 400? It was unnecessary anyway, SR has been moving slowly lately unlike other SR.

Last Shredroom wasn't even locked:S
It made it to about 400 something pages before it became buggy.

I'm reasonably sure a moderator only looks in this forum about once a month.

That'd be about right, yeah.
Have you ever thought about the fact you're not really Henry Plainview anymore?
To be entirely honest, I had to do a google search on what Henry Plainview was when I first saw your username and avatar, because I had no idea what it was, because I don't keep up with those sort of things.

What are you supposed to do when literally no one knows/remembers what the hell Henry Plainview is?
Change your username to something that wont get dated?

Well I had a universal username for a long time, even though that pretty much only one community back then, but I decided I didn't like it anymore around the time I joined here. I am really bad at thinking of names, and I had just seen There Will Be Blood, so I was like, Hey, this is a good theme to have, everybody likes Daniel Day-Lewis! And it's also a small joke that I'm not sure anybody else gets, but hey, some humor just isn't for you.

So to answer your question, I hope I am not still on the internet when nobody recognizes the There Will Be Blood poster, but if I am, yes, I will have a new name because this is transitional. I still haven't thought of a new one. Someone I knew really liked the word Coinage, so I've been trying that out on other forums, but eh, I don't know. I'd like not to also steal my new name as well as the old.

Ahhhh.
Yeah, I was just kinda lame and used my last name, JB4 being a reference only guitar geeks would understand.
Although to be fair, I never really bothered with the whole internet persona thing, never felt the need too.
I'm too weird for that without making myself seem weirder :D

It's not something you try. I really doubt anyone is the same here as they are in real life. If you read some of my posts from the last year I was moderating, you'd probably think I was unable to have a conversation without shouting. But I always did, even though I wasn't making that up. Fortunately, I've calmed down, although I may revert back to endless internet rage when I eventually go back to college.

And I still think that Henry Plainview should be a mildly funny username for anyone who knows the plot of There Will Be Blood because people on the internet use handles instead of their real names, but that is apparently just me. And I can't think of a good place to screencap Henry from the movie, but Daniel has a much more awesome face anyway.

Well yeah, I guess we all have a persona to some extent, but it's obvious some people do go out of their way with their persona sometimes and it bothers me sometimes, because what do they want to hide?:S
