Actually, I think it's just a cold.
I've not had the vomiting or diarrhoea symptoms at all. My chest was hurting though and had the aches, headache and runny nose.
So I think it's just a bad cold.

I have an idea.
Why don't we just do one-page SRs?
Everyone loves to post on page 1. Then they get bored.
So endless page 1s is the answer!

Excellent. It's a great album. I just wish I had a remastered copy (which doesn't exist). The dodgy vinyl rip isn't the best.

I have a copy of On the Road somewhere. I must read it. Is it as good as people say, Rob?
Also, I blame Harry for my cold. I was chatting to my mate's mother on the 'phone and she says it's the Norwalk Virus I have... and it came over from Australia. Except I've not had diarrhoea or vomiting...
So I blame Harry.
Apparently the cold may come back even worse... I sure hope not. People have died of it too. Yikes!

On the Road gets a provisional thumbs up from me. Not enormously far into it, but I do like it.

Cool. I gather Kerouac has an odd writing style though?

It's very spontaneous, I think, which is both the appeal and the oddity. Sentences tend to be short, but aren't always. He tends to work with a simple vocabulary with unusual words thrown in. Alliterative bursts and sound-based ideas are very much a presence. I love it, but I can understand that a lot of people might not.

I had my first day of the spring semester today... and I'm mostly glad to be back. Gives me something to do; I was getting too lazy. I'm feeling content. How about you?

Spring semester?
We called January the winter semester in my days.
I'm fair enough, I suppose. Hate Mondays, but what are you gonna do.
Actually I pretty much hate Monday through Friday...

That sucks to hear. I enjoy as much of my life as possible. There are winter semesters, but they're different times. The two "standard" semesters are Fall and then Spring; Winter and Summer are optional and under a completely different, weirder schedule. At our university anyway.

Used to love summer classes. Montreal is filled with great festival in the summer, and the workload is always less.
