Definitely not. Melissa has met me, she'd be able to see through that ruse.

In major news, Bike by Pink Floyd is a brilliant song. Going to shift 30 lines of Aeneid, I think, and then back to Jack Kerouac's On The Road.

Link?
Also, who wants to place bets on how long it will take before the Gaza thread goes crazy? I had to restrain myself from outright saying that online petitions are stupid and pointless and OP is wasting everyone's time and the rules are dumb for not banning them as stupid and pointless. I don't want to get in trouble. ;-)
I really cannot understand the logic behind signing one of those when nobody has ever cared about them.

Neither can I, aside from people just trying to feel better about themselves I suppose, or that they can actually make a difference. I usually poke my head in those things and when I see what it's about, I become at best a passive participant.

Only got it on CD. The piece is referred to as piano-rag-music (1919) by the little booklet thing. Heh, I had to resist saying that I was pro-Israel and failed to see why the children killed somehow matter more than the others. Also had to stop myself getting very angry at the whole pro-Palestine-protesters-in-London-attacking-police thing.

It's a difficult situation to be sure, and the popular opinion is worsened by the US' politicians almost uniform support of Israel, which leads to an overreaction in the form of blindness about all the terrible sh*t Hamas does. And the pro-Palestine protesters went quite beyond the pale, which unfortunately reinforced my dad's anti-Muslim clash of civilizations ideas. And everyone sucks is hardly a strong position to hold. ;-)
I would think that the people on the left, who prize their logic so much over the emotional appeals of the Republicans, would realize that teh childrenz dying is an emotional appeal too.

Anyway, I'm off to read, because my computer seems to interfere with it (no surprises there, then...)

I have a copy of On the Road somewhere. I must read it. Is it as good as people say, Rob? Also, I blame Harry for my cold. I was chatting to my mate's mother on the 'phone and she says it's the Norwalk Virus I have... and it came over from Australia. Except I've not had diarrhoea or vomiting... So I blame Harry. Apparently the cold may come back even worse... I sure hope not. People have died of it too. Yikes!

I don't have any D&D books. Just PDFs.
And I won't die. I'm feeling much better now.
