Tomorrow is my daughter's "baby shower." Ouch! A little more than a month from now I'll become offically "OLD."
Grandpa is not a term I can apply to myself. Try looking at yourself in the mirror then, Jimbo. Hell, I've still got all my teeth!

Kinda like being called "sir" by some svelte, good looking woman at the grocery store.  Oi!

Grampa Dan doesn't sound too bad as a forum name, does it? And be ready to accept all our congratulations!

Alas, poor old Dave Dee - another 60s musician lost.

Do you think Rush got the idea for Xanadu from him? (Olivia Newton-John fused Rush and DDDBMAT for her interpretation of the legend of course).

I knew I was getting old when I looked on Friends Reunited a couple of years ago and discovered a girl from my old middle school class was a grandmother.  Unhappy

Sad news about Dave Dee. I liked the article on the BBC which mentioned "Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich" then felt it neccesary to explain that the band was named after the members' nicknames (just in case you hadn't worked that out). LOL They're using "Bend It" in an ad at the moment so he probably would have been collecting some royalties soon. On second thoughts, he probably didn't write it.

I think the trick is to become good friends with your friends' children & hint heavily that as you have no children, that inheritance has to go somewhere - that way, they'll look after you when you get old, you can still leave your entire estate to a cat's home & claim you forgot to change your will due to being old & doddery

Well, the party went better than expected. My mexican layer dip was scarfed up faster than the Kona Longboard ale. We had to switch to Corona and other lesser brews.

At 47, I guess it's not too soon. Marty is only 43. She's feeling the pain. Poor lass.
