Topic: 24 - Season 7 (SPOILER ALERT!!!!) Posted: May 20 2009 at 02:04 |
Am I the only one in the world that doesn't watch this show? I really just can't stand shows or movies with all the non-stop, balls-to-the-wall, Michael Bay type stuff. The camera shaking gives me a headache.

I've heard that next season will be the last and then there will be a 24 movie in the theaters after the series is over.

Bump for the season being over.
Any one have thoughts on the season? Rankings amongst previous seasons?

I certainly hope it's not the last season we're watching. My gut feeling is that FOX really needs this series and will throw a ton of money at Keifer to keep it going. Money talks, as they say. And he hasn't exactly torn it up on the silver screen as of late.

I watched Season 1 of 24 in 1 day because it was so addictive. Then I watched season 2 over the course of a week and skipped the rest because season 6 was coming out. It seemed like a chore to tune in every week to see what Jack was up to around the halfway point and onward season 6. Is season 7 worth watching?

Ah man I watched all 4 new episodes now. GRREEEAAAAAAT. I was so excited during 8-9 because its been a while since seeing jack the last time around and he's still kicking everyone's ass. It seems like there are a lot of...wimps this time around. You know the whole moralist, in-the-way, type characters to help add the other side of the debate on the torture topic. As far as I'm concerned Jack could beat the information out of me and I wouldn't mind. hahaha. And I'm glad there is the whole corrupt government topic back in play.
And on the topic of 24 bashers....
My friends all laughed at me when I started watching 24. I even laughed at myself because it is pretty ridiculous, but no more so than the likes of the more "deep, intellectual" shows such as, Lost, and whatever else. The only season I though was a bit below par for 24 was season...errr Day 3. Mostly because the bad guys weren't as threatening as previous and future ones.
Anyone else miss Prez Palmer? What a good man. haha.

I wouldn't be surprised if they kill or incapacitate the one in this season to be honest.

More curves last night. Tony had me convinced. Who knows...maybe he's playing the makeshift CTU.

It wouldn't surprise me, especially since he really has no reason to help his country out. But we'll see what happens. Can't wait.

By the way, the guy that does the 24 recap on EW.com is very entertaining. I highly recommend his witticisms. He's funny but you can tell he truly loves the show.

I think it's been pretty entertaining so far. Second night of the season premier in 7 minutes.

I detest when people put down something they've never watched or a type of show that they don't care for. Just take pity on him and say "it's probably way over your head, anyway."

I just sat there thinking how very glad I was to have this show back. I LOVE the pace in that things happen quickly and without a lot of unnecessary dialogue. I didn't think I would be able to accept Tony as a villain but he was more than convincing. One of the all-time great series!

OK, I changed the title so the fact that Tony Almeida coming back as the 'bad guy' can be talked about. That really took me off guard.
I'm looking forward to tonight, too. You're right...locale change is a welcomed one; however, no CTU? I saw on the trailer that Chloe comes in at some point.

Woo!
Finally. I'm interested how this one turns out. As you said they mixed things up a bit. I don't mind a locale change...but the lack of CTU is harder to overlook.
Regardless...thrilled as all hell for season 7. Can't wait til tomorrow!

Well, now that the writers are all happy, 24 fans have a new season. Very interesting premier tonight. I won't spoil anything, but looks to be an interesting season. At least they've switched it up a bit.
Should be a wild ride.
