Actually, I should get something to drink. Be right back.

Not like you, Melissa.  Just you.

Does your beau appreciate the fineries of Koenjihyakkei?  Does he appreciate how prescient H.G. Wells was as an author?

Does he love Kafka and Vonnegut?

I doubt it. Wink

Well I only started college half a year ago, and since most high school girls were about as thin as '80s vinyl re-pressings, I think my search (/quest?) still has a long ways to go.  My last relationship, that in retrospect I never REALLY wanted to get into, totally sucked, so I'm happy with being single for a while.  Of course of something promising develops, I'll pursue, but I dunno when that will come up.

Is that re. genealogy?

Yes.

I was looking for the PCC Will of John Lodington/Luddington in 1687 but I cannot find it and I know it exists.  I have found one for a John Lodington, Clerk, of Washingborough, Lincolnshire for 1670 though.  Washingborough is the same village his son Rev. Isaac Lodington, M.A., B.A, Vicar of Aylesbury (my ancestor) was born.

So I am hoping this John Lodington is the right chap.

Cool.  Good luck with the detective work!

The Lodington family are annoying and I have only recently found out I am related to them.  It's a dodgy story of possible bigamy... I'm not sure yet.  One of ancestors changed his surname from Lodington to Edwards, hence why I had trouble finding him.

Beyond him, the Lodingtons are clerks and clergyman.  Yet out of all my ancestors, they're the only ones that went to Oxford or Cambridge.

That's how I felt this past summer, once I had finally finalized all of my analyzations and realizations from all of my past experiences, I had decided that I'd be willing to wait forever for the right person to come along and that I was completely content.

And then, with the most unexpected timing ever, all of this came up the day afterward. My life has been surreal ever since. Even though I can't even talk to her right now and who knows when I ever will be able to next, I'm still a much more knowledgeable and happy person.

Yeah, some people worry far too much about 'finding the perfect person'.  If it happens, it tends to be when you least expect it. Tongue

Sucks, but I kind of wish I had a crush on someone.  I haven't in years, and back then I was way more shy - now I'm more confident, carefree, and quick to jump on opportunities (no pun intended LOL).

That's my story in a nutshell. As soon as I stopped worrying about it, then something happened.
