Haha, not much... just being lazy.

Headbanging to Meshuggah. Listened to Systematic Chaos twice before that.

That sounds good. Clap

Okay, here's the deal. You should get AIM for free so you can at least try out Elim game v2 and chat on there and I'll get Skype so we can chat on there. Tongue

Yeah, but you don't even have to use it except when we're playing.

That's the trouble with messengers. Not everyone has the same one. So I had to choose something. LOL

It should be a great game though and much better than the old version. I'm just hoping some people will take the plunge and at least try it so we get a better game going. Smile

So when do you plan on playing? Although I guess it wouldn't matter because you'd post on PA before you got it started

Unique + good =/= innovative

Unabashed link to disgruntled blog post from June (the month, not the member ):

If you are unique, how is that not innovative? They are synonyms.

innovative implies that you have 'innovated' something, while unique implies that you are unlike others in your catagory. I could bang on walls, record it and call it a record - that would be unique, but no one would care nor ever follow up on my works, so it would have innovated nothing

and furthermore, Fish is going to rape you:

You are making a distinction without a difference. Being unique requires innovation, otherwise you would not be original enough to be unique.

How can you call something innovative without knowing if it will innovate anything? It really can only be applied retroactively to bands which would become known as "influential" since other people would then be using the traits that the innovative band has innovated.

What makes Kayo Dot (for instance) innovative? Mars Volta have a unique sound, but what makes them innovative? what have they innovated?

Refer to the thread; times can be suggested there. Right now it looks like sometime in the evening (EST). We'll figure that out for sure once I see if I get more people registered.
