They're not a lot of people's type because of their sparseness and general lack of melody, but i like it

I still need to hear them. From what I've read, I should like them.

I can't contribute to whether I agree or disagree. Yet.

Meh... Kayo Dot doesn't fit into my current tastes right now. Maybe some other time.

Question: if you know you're buddies were picking up at 6pm to go eat at Hooters, would you be home by 5pm?

Also Mars Volta, I'd like to know what they innovated, exactly. I have three of their albums and I hear good music, but nothing 'innovative'

I hate that word.

I don't know. I'd never be in that situation.

De-Loused In The Comatorium is one of those rare albums I regret buying... Boring.

I love the Mars Volta. The Bedlam in Goliath is my favorite album; it's amazing.

I'd say they definitely have a unique sound though (I prefer that to innovative).

If you would find the Bedlam in Goliath boring, then I question your judgment. Tongue

Yes, mars Volta are good. Can someone tell me why people keep calling them INNOVATIVE?

Unique + good =/= innovative

You don't go outside in the "real world" a lot, do you?

Where people don't get Zappa or Tom Waits?

Where you have to explain what progressive rock is?

You misunderstood me.

I meant your tastes are better than most people's.

Yeah, but those "most people": they're the one who don't get my music tastes.

Well, actually, the other day I finally found someone who not only knew, but also loved Tim Buckley... Great!

I know that they don't get them.

I was ecstatic once when someone commented on my Yes shirt. LOL

All right, I'm off... apparently the boyfriend is not lying dead in the snow, so my panic mode is over, which means I'm hungry (only had like a dozen doritos for lunch, boy that's lazy!)
