That's on Islands, not QE2. Wink

I never said which album it was on it was just an example of a song-based Oldfield tune. Wink

It's not one of his most representative ones, though, I'd say.

It's not bad... but unfortunately it's more popular than it should be. Ouch

Actually, it's on Crises.Tongue

Bah, both of those albums have the same format and I mixed them up; you're right. Embarrassed

Crises is the one with Moonlight Shadow and the few others, whereas Islands has the Wind Chime epic.

My favorite Oldfield albums are Ommadawn, Amarok, and Songs.

But for your taste, go for QE2 probably. Maybe the Killing Fields too, though I'm not as familiar with that album.

I like the tune personally 'cause it's bad in a good way and I have no idea what it's about...

My ears hear:

Brian May
Brian May
la di da di
he's so far away

I'd say Crises, but I'm not familiar enough with it or Islands to make an informed decision.

Oh, I forgot about Tubular Bells 3 (which sounds nothing like Tubular Bells), but it's definitely one of his not prog releases, so be warned if you take that route.
