After much thinking back and forth I managed to drop three already. And this is only the beginning, about 150 to go...

Actually I think this should be a general rule for this poll to avoid fanboyism (or fangirlism). There are a lot of artists missing, but I want to restrict myself to fifty nominations. Also, as mentioned before, only one album per artist, and no live albums.
You will notice there is not much new stuff in the list, and that's because I don't think there is much good new stuff. Some of the old heroes still make great albums, but they are mostly represented with older stuff in my list, though I might have picked some newer albums. But the interesting new stuff I listen to mostly does hardly fit into the archives (like the French trio Hadouk, for example).
I am pretty sure I forgot a lot of my favourite artists (Jean already nudged my ribs about that, but she will have her chance in a moment).

Thanks! It's a very special album for me, even though I realize it's not perfect. But like I said, I based the list on the impact of the albums in my life. I wonder what happened to the back-up band that played in that album, I never heard from them again...

Glad to see someone else with Surfing with the Alien. Perhaps the best guitar album of all time.
