Hmmm.  Hard to say.  You should try the couple of songs that are streaming here on PA.  I think it is some pretty good hard rock and roll with some progressive tendencies.

To the other end, I downloaded Unrest with the last of this months downloads from eMusic.  It is alphabetically near the bottom on my iPod, so it will probably be a couple of days until I listen to it, but it should be interesting.Wink

Alright. After this RTF album, I'll check it out.

Ooooh! Let me know what you think! Big smile

Be warned though, it'll take at least a few listens to sink in. It even took me a good 5+ before I really started to LOVE it.

On that note, I heard Lateralus for the second time ever yesterday and it wasn't half bad. Not one of my favorite metal discs though, got boring after too much of it. But still, not bad at all.

I'm listening to Return to Forever right now, my favorite RTF song in fact. Big smile

Lateralus tales like 10 listens. It's one of those obtuse masterpieces. AEnima's better tho, if you haven't head it. I heard Lateralus 3343454356 times probably but i still think Disposition/Triad/Reflection are pretty boring and dont live up to the first 9 songs...

Lateralus is cool, but there are albums that are much more worth listening to.

I'll probably give it a few more listens at least.

Confused

Why is that bad? I meant that Amnesiac is more worth listening to than Lateralus. LOL

Oh I thought that you were saying that there were albums much more worth listening to than Amnesiac, which is wrong, there is only one as shown by my personal list.
Now would be a good time for me to remind you all he means everyone.

Amnesiac is the one Radiohead album I haven't listened to much yet (except Pablo Honey, which I don't have).  The reason being I only got it pretty recently.  I've been listening to Hail to the Thief, Kid A, In Rainbows, and Airbag/How's My Driving EP lately.

Indeed. It's like Kid A Part 2 in a way.

Actually I think the linear cannon between the two albums is Amnesiac then Kid A. I have a whole complex theory of the two albums that I don't want to get in to. They're basically 2 sides of the same coin with different perspectives.

Hmm, that's understandable and would definitely rationalize the reason for the rapid change in sound between OKC and Kid A.

If you don't want to get into it, fine, but now you have me intrigued. OuchWink

I'm afraid I might sound a bit silly, but it seems like Amnesiac is some terrible thing happening and Kid A is society watching it happen in a way.

That's an interesting way of looking at it. I know Kid A seems to have a more rigid concept/story behind it though, whereas I'm not familiar if Amnesiac has a similar base to it. Does it?
