Baku Llama - Eris.  I'm giving this a first listen since they were so kind to make it available.  So far very enjoyable.

Eric, it's actually the self-released albums of one of our members, Epignosis (recently promoted to the Eclectic team).  Alex tells me that within a week or two the album might be available.

Yeah, I'm sure we'll know when it's ready because Robert will be promoting it like hell. Wink

Once Ex comes out and if/when we're added, then it'll be a different story. Tongue

I'm sure Robert could describe it better than I could, but I'd say it's definitely Symphonic. Some lyrical religious overtones (but very good and well-written), and the epic has a bunch of amazing playing and mellotron.

Knowing your tastes, I think you'd like it. Smile

Embarrassed

I use quite a bit of acoustic guitar for rhythm, lots of organ and Mellotron, and there are lots of guitar and synth solos scattered throughout.  The bass is either a thunderous Spector 5-string or a chunky Fender Geddy Lee signature jazz bass.  The vocals are clean and male (of course Smile), and a choir of my wife sings backup on one track.

If absolutely pressured to compare it to a well known band, I'd say Spock's Beard, but even then, that claim should be taken with a grain of salt (or the whole Morton company).

OK, I'm very interested. Please let me know when it's made available because I'll buy a copy. The word 'epic' when describing it has me very intrigued.

The Light, V or Octane era? LOL.

This sounds really good.  Who will be first to review it, and who will provide the bio?  Can Robert be relied upon to review this objectively?

Seriously, I can't wait to hear this.  Count me in as soon as it's available.  However, I want the cd and not download.

While posting, I'll be listening to PT's Deadwing on my way home from work shortly.  First listen of this (completes my PT studio album collection) first few tracks sounded good, title track really excellent.
