Hey folks. Never been so busy around Christmas.... preparing course material, soccer tournament of our youngest, a visit from my mother-in-law and a couple of PA reviews. And of course, I had to cook two days in a row at Christmas. Dean's perfect recipe for lamb on the 25th, ostrich steak with caramelized eschalottes on the 26th.

Ostrich? You must have one hell of an oven to fit one of those in!

Saw him there myself on the Scream Dream tour (1980? ) - naked except for a guitar & a very small loincloth (that's TN, not me ) and he was very mobile on stage too!

LOL Who had the loin cloth? Tongue

Ostrich steaks are great food - a bit like actual steak, but cheaper and more tender.

Indeed:

You say 'Thank The Lord', but when I looked for the above image online, I found out a website called LoveGodsWay.com included Ted Nugent on a list of musicians who are "gay, or propogate a gay message"

According to one website, "They warn parents to be on the lookout for music that can have an influence on children that may lead them to become gay or lesbian if they listen to it. Surprisingly, uber redneck, Ted Nugent is on the list."

Wouldn't you just love to be in the room at the moment Ted Nugent finds out about that one...

Let's just say the story has three lesbians, underage drinking, Uggs boots, cotton underwear and police involved. Shocked  Is Ricky Lake still on TV?

The dust has settled a bit, but I'm expecting some gale force winds before summer comes.

of course, children are highly impressionable, and just *might* be lead astray from the righteous path of hetrosexuality by listening to some 'deviant' lyrics... never mind the children who *might* have been struggling with their sexuality for several years, but are afraid to talk about it because the 'adults' in their lives are too busy writing fundemendalist, judgemental, right-wing tripe on websites like this....AngryAngry

ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh I get SO angry...Angry

(sorry folks, I'm going off to lie down in a darkened corner....until my black cloud passes over...Ouch)
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

Heard that one before - something with a mosquito that stops sucking after you (one handedly) slap it?

The coffee was in my mouth before I spilled it by the way, not in the cup...

I know I've posted this elsewhere, but just in case any Shedders stick their head around the door in the next few hours:

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU!

Vicky and I are attending a 'ticket-only' evening at Our Mutual Friend tonight; by ticket-only, the landlords mean they're giving the staff a night off & if anyone comes in they don't know as a friend, they're told "sorry, ticket only"...

...could be an interesting evening

Whatever you're all doing, have a good one guys
