Both are absolutely fantastic!

There are Starless Echoes here Wink Both are primo stuff, OBVIOUSLY! Different moods though, non?
I never post anything anywhere without doing more than basic research, often in depth.

I'll go with that, tho Crimson did knock out some mighty fine tunes too.

Pink Floyd has made 14 albums from '67-'94, and they've only had 5 people in their band throughout their entire career. King Crimson has 15 albums since '69 but has gone thru several major transformations as well as over a dozen different bandmates. My favorite PF album is Meddle, and my favorite Crimson album is Larks' Toungues. And if I had to choose between those two albums i'd go with Meddle.

wow King crimson is winning!!!!Shocked
Love boths bands equally, but I think PF should win basically because King crimson isn't only Fripp the only member from the early days....and the band
had sooooo many members in the past ( and still do)
however Pink Floyd don't...

Funny how, although probably there are more Floyd fans, or Genesis fans... Crimson always seems to win these kind of polls

I don't really see much of a link between the 2. King Crimson were really twiddly dee stuff compared to Pink Floyd. Dark side of the moon is almost a pop album in comparison to most Crimson stuff!

I have always wondered if PF meant to become a popular band by making DSotM. Ermm

Hey, I voted and I don't remember who I voted for! I guess that means something besides me having a lousy memory. Come to think of it, this all thing is nonsense, but funny tough.
I mean, they're both great! Each has it's place in music history AND in MY CDiscoteck!!! If I'd ever have to go to a desert island and take only one, i'd throw a coin to pick but oh boy, wich one ever came out, I surely would miss the other one a lot, and sometimes regret the choice (and blame the coin, of course).
Sure they can live side by side.
My final vote is GOOD MUSIC!

Kinda doubt it. I mean, even their first single "Arnold Layne" did pretty well. I think the popularity was just building up, really.
Promotion so blatant that it's sad:
