For the record, the album we are currently listening to is Thin Lizzy's Thunder and Lightning - their very last effort, and one oft their best. Ah, Pablo, I share your dislike of The House of Blue Light, while I think that both Perfect Strangers and Rapture of the Deep are excellent albums. I have never heard Slaves and Masters in its entirety, but I know I don't want to, because I HATE Joe Lynn Turner's voice with a passion.

me too i have all their albums and enjoy them all, but those two along with Abandon, WDWTWA and book of taliesyn make up my bottom five. It's all pretty good just not on the level of their bet albums imo...

I never said they were in the lever of their best albums, did I? For quality, I put those mentioned by you(with the exception of Book of Taliesyn which I consider phenomenal) down, but by preference I prefer S&M, WDWTWA and TBRO 2 times over Perfect Strangers, Rapture of the Deep and House of Blue Light.

It's ok with me. I find Rapture of the Deep, a hit and miss record, which I previously stated in my review which I deleted. It has some very good moments, as well as stinkers. I still don't get the thrill of Perfect Strangers, I find it one of their weakest, except for the title track and Knockin' at your Back Door, the rest I find it plain dull and sometimes annoying, no offense.

I got a mp3 with all the albums until secret world. It's not bad .Of course you wont hear epics or anything like that , but still it's fairly enjoyable.
Did you actually buy that Ashra record? Where did you get it? It's quite rare and expensive around here. If you liked that one you should hear their selftitled album.
PD: No love for Book of Talesyn in the Archives it seems
