ahh... I've been called worse LOL

paused Banco and listening to some...err...  'brutal prog' that caught my eye in the collab zone.  Wierd sh*t... but you know... pretty good stuff. Not my usual thing... but Assaf has great taste.. and so every once in a while I dip my little toe into the freaky avant sh*t.

Yey!

I need to check out them as well.

Brutal prog isn't brutal enough to my ears though.  Metal to me doesn't even sound heavy any more. LOL

Before, listened to it entirely, just stunning!:

If you like Transatlantic, then you definitely need to hear Spock's Beard.

They can be a bit hit or miss for me though, and their albums may be uneven. V and Snow seem like the most commonly praised albums, however.

^Don't know your tastes well, but I'm a big fan of Retro stuff, The Flower Kings, Tangent, Transatlantic and DT's Octavarium(Tongue),  I heard some samples and they seem great. So I'm sure I'll like them, well I hope so.

Yeah, you definitely should.

DT's Octavarium title track is their greatest song for me. Amazing. Clap

I love The Flower Kings too. My favorite symph band. Clap

Tangent and Transatlantic are good from what I've heard but I don't listen to them often at all.
