Oh, I'm a fanboy, but I also know what I like more than other people who may not like the album as much as I do BECAUSE I'm a fanboy if that makes sense. OBJECTIVITY FTW!!!

My Unitopia review was from a promo and it was written a month and a half ago, of course it was only posted today because I didn't write their bio until yesterday... but you know what I mean

I getcha man, but I felt I was really being put into a position of the review had to be very positive, or just no review at all, and of course, being the first time I was ever tipped to do a promo review, I just turned down the review, because obviously the band wouldn't use my review for their own promotional purposes if it wasn't positive enough to their liking anyway.

Ugh, I know that pressure. Of course I haven't really felt it ever since the Torman maxt incident... but let's not go there!

So do our non-collabs want to place bets on Collab album of the year? I'm betting Kayo Dot again, because you guys obviously like to keep a streak going (See: Porcupine Tree), and even T is on Kayo Dot's side now, even if some of the post guys didn't like it at all. After that I'm going with Beardfish, Karmakanic, Pendragon, and Steve Wilson. In that order! I'll probably be wrong, but if I'm right you'll be so impressed!

Thanks, Harry. I won't be on PA much this week (since I'm visiting friends and family), but I can't wait to work for this great website in a more official capacity.

Psh, what do you know? You listen to Rush and probably voted for Beardfish (I haven't actually heard Beardfish).

I've never heard Beardfish either. Nor Pendragon. Karmakani, I had never heard of until that post just then, lol.

Oh, so you managed to sneak Meshuggah in there? ;-)
Which by the way Harry, I was just listening to Traced in Air on Youtube and WOW. This sort of music has never really worked for me before, and yet this is incredible.
I only heard of Karmakanic because of their cover blanketing the banner ads and the album of the year thread. I've heard some samples of Pendragon on the behest of neo-defenders, which was pretty terrible, and I listened to some Beardfish on Youtube, which was ok. I'd listen to their 35 minute song if I could do so for free.

Traced In Air is one of those metal albums that stood high and mighty, and sounded unique in today's sea of sound-alike bands.

The Hunter by Beardfish is AWESOME! Love that song. My number 1 this year was The Tangent, so sue me . I'm sorry that I'm not "metal enough" for you, maybe I should watch more Metalocalypse
