Very good review for Fleurs 2 , AndreaThumbs Up! I bought the album for Micky at the Fiumicino Airport store just before I left for the US on November 19, and he loved it.

Thanks, Raff...Embarrassed!!!

But also this is a great review (written by DamoXt7942):

The Trip - Caronte CD (album) cover

Caronte

by THE TRIP (Italian Symphonic Prog)

4 stars Complex and variable flavour and taste hit us listeners again and again...this is typically Italian progressive rock! (...it's a shame that I bought this album without any knowledge of The Trip. :P )

From the first track ( Caronte 1 ), their Trip has exploded. Beginning with avantgarde stream, a Mellotron hopping quickly here and there, and then a guitar glowling with heavy riff...already the sound squeezes our brain strongly! On second one ( Two Brothers ), heavier guitar tune and vocal push and push us. As everyone says, that is heavy Italian prog I suggest. Little Janie has a bit lighter pop sound and lets us flexible, but immediately L'Ultima... gushes Italian Classical atmosphere out with impressing us deeply and completely. To the last Caronte 2 , again avant-tasty and speedy Mellotron rushes over, and comfortable flavour is left for us.

Exactly cool, I wanna say. Namely, this is 'eavy-Italian progressive rock!

Andrea, thanks for your excellent review for "Fleurs 2", and your recommendation.
Oniric, now I'm listening to, has a bit weird but superb sound style as we feel Italian-prog.

Franco Battiato, I've not heard, has a long and great career I see.
I should meet sooner the skilled progressive and pop artist. Thumbs Up

Through My Space I contacted Oniric because I wanted to know what kind of product they had released (if demo CDs, official self production releases, etc ...) and Oniric replied me that their 2 Cds (which in their site are defined as demo) in reality are two official self production Eps, not considered demos, although they are free to download.

I think for this type of clarification that Oniric are elegible for a PA page, also because in PA there are other artists/ bands with similar products that have their own page and reviews.

Old albums (the first and the second) by New Trolls are not so bad I think.
Believe me, their prog spirit in the future was exactly all around these works.

Exactly!

New Trolls - New Trolls 70 CD (album) cover

New Trolls '70

by NEW TROLLS (Italian Symphonic Prog)

Review written by: DamoXt7942 (DamoX)

3 stars Can feel so easy. Not progressive, but at the same time not bad.

Sadly, the CD released by Warner Fonit, that I purchased, has no review or commentary in a sleeve. From what I have heard, the album is made up with previously released singles of New Trolls. Hum, surely, there's old flavour all around, and the songs are indeed pop and catchy, not as I have expected... (RA RA RA of the last song Davanti agli occhi miei should catch my heart strictly. :P ) But, please don't misunderstand, these songs have incomplete and pre-matured but really promising progressive seeds. I consider we can understand this sound could get the next progressive step and style.

Please get relaxed for your tired prog brain with this album. I can recommend to you.

There are some New Trolls stuff that i honestly dislike, that album is not bad at all, but some of their records are far from being prog or even rock.

In my opinion this album is good for the roots of RPI.
