Hey Alex.

Trying (probably in futility) to appreciate Tago Mago.

Tago Mago is good every once in a while, but it'll never go any higher for me I think. It's way too mixed and mood-dependent.

Nonetheless, it's still a good album if you're up for it.

I'm listening to one of my favorite albums EVER. Big smile

Halfway through Paperhouse and I'm already bored to tears.  Well, I put it on hold to check out a metal band suggested by someone, but I don't know enough about metal to know if it's prog or not.

What are you listening to?

Which metal band? If I don't know either, I'm sure David or Harry will.

As the World by Echolyn. Probably in my top 10 albums of all time. Hug

It's called Esoteric, someone just suggested them in the "Suggest New" thread.

Oh, okay.

The name actually sounds familiar for some reason... but I can't recall having heard anything.

It's "doom metal" - I don't really care for it.

I'll get there at 2:30 because I know they'll want me to fill out an application, and those can be horrifically long.

I never understood why you hand them a resume with your work history and educational background if they're just going to make you write all down again.

I reviewed that this morning.  It's not one of my favorites.  The first two songs are "reggae prog."  LOL

One of my favorite albums. Big smile

http://rateyourmusic.com/list/MovingPictures07/20_essential_albums/

I'm not fully satisfied with that list, since there are SO many good albums missing, so take it for what it's worth. I'm done screwing with it now. I give up. OuchLOL

Hmmm...I wonder what my essential albums would be (strictly keeping with prog, of course).

Maybe I should make a list.

I got the new Cynic from emusic, and I have to say the sound quality is not great.  I just ordered the CD in hope that it will sound better.

Nice self-promotion. Once I extend my list, I'll post mine too. Big smile
