I'm around. Sort of deciding whether to train up to a party tomorrow or just sit at home.
Figure that, by then, I'll be bored out of my mind anyway, and I'll have had the opportunity for an earthshattering listen to Sleepwalkers and Arrow already, so probably going.

I never get bored really although my current mood is sort of making me a bit absent minded as well.

I don't feel absent-minded, I'm having a hell of a time being content. It's weird, really. I can't figure out the source of it, but I end up being discontent at anything I start doing.

mm... I won't get that bored. Probably going to finish reading Scoop and maybe note some of the Aeneid, because I really need to not balls up this year's fun tests.

That's how I feel, Alex. The exact same thing.
I want to continue on with Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir but grr, even that's not happening.

It's odd because it's not like I lack confidence or anything. It all seems random and emotionally-driven. I have the ultimate drive to find something to accomplish, but at the same time I can't find motivation to do ANYTHING. It's annoying.

I lack confidence in my writing.
However, I have plenty of non-writing things to be getting on with too and even those things are not particularly speaking to me right now.

Yeah, I can't even listen to music tonight either. Maybe I'll just take it easy tonight and sleep on it. I don't know. I'm going to actually push myself to get off here now though. Be back later.

This one is not enough to satisfy my NEED to talk about real music with real music fans. I literally don't have anyone in my life I can talk about music with. Normal people usually think I have sh*t for taste...
Quite pathetic actually.

I have the same issue, June.
Although I did go and see Hawkwind with a friend of mine on Sunday and he likes early Floyd. He's not really a progger though. He does like The Enid as well.

Which other forum boards you at? I have an account over at Dreamtheaterforums.org. I lasted about 4 weeks, and left entirely, because the fanboyism just killed my spirit

I'm on Classic Rock (crf2.com) but I've lost a lot of interest in that one: too much KISS and Radiohead talk these days (not to mention a bunch of useless polls like "avril lavigne or jimi hendrix". Also VN1, which is a little lame (sorry Ron... lots of fanboyism going on there, myself included), but I've grown friendly with a lot of people from there, then there's music-talk, but there's a lot of kids there and it's nearly dead anyway.
That's why I've been hoping to find a folk forum, but so far, nothing...
I like being on a few forums though, gives me a chance to discover a lot of new stuff.

We get silly polls like that here as well.
However we do have a solid community here. Pretty much all regular posters are respected and we all feel we have a bond.
It's not like that on all forums.
I was on a forum for my local metal club and it was very backstabbing and hostile at times. We knew each other in real-life though, so it was much more difficult.

How the hell do Avril Lavigne discussions get on a Classic Rock forum board? And yes, I'm sick of "OMG JIMI HENDRIX" and this is coming from me as a guitar player. In general I just hate fanboyism really. I understand what you mean about going on several forum boards. I go on other forum boards when I want to talk strictly musician stuff, or guitar related stuff, because obviously PA is hardly the best place for those two topics (no offense to the people here, but sometimes I feel some of the discussion is pretty shallow due to the lack of people on here being musicians and actually properly understanding music). And yes, I guess I'm not keen on Hendrix, Page, Clapton etc anymore, because it's true to some extent, as your abilities on your instrument improve, your taste changes and you want something deeper and more challenging to listen to (like Holdsworth for example).

Oh wow, that sucks. Nope, none of my other forums are like that. Hope that didn't get you into trouble in "real life".
