It appears that Pat is going to leave us sitting on the edge of our seats for an explanation as to why he is selling his iPod. By the way, are you selling it fully loaded or wiped clean.

iTunes sucks. I'll see if I can sell it to my Dad for a reasonable price (I know he wants one, and was admiring mine the last time he was over), if not I'll just ebay it or something. I found an 80 GB Cowon player that does everything I want.

Listening to Insurgentes. First part rocks, but I don't really get what's that special in the rest.

Pretty fine. Watching a bee movie for the 6th time with one of my groups, and reading up on Issac Newton, but I'm so distracted than the only conclusion I've found so far is that he was cute young...
How are you? |
Erm, photography had been invented in Isaac's time so what you're looking at is an artists impression.

Pat, the new Sony's use Media Player I think, certainly better than iTunes.
But I don't have an MP3 player, just a mobile telephone which I can listen to MP3s on.

I want something that just acts as a disk drive when I connect it to a PC, so that I just can transfer files back and forth, simply, and use it with Linux. The Cowon A3 does this, and also supports all manner of file formats including OGG and FLAC; the former of which I would rip all my CDs to to put on the player, as I think OGG is superior to MP3.

I don't have many OGGs but I can play them in WinAMP.
Plus I want to consume diskspace until I buy that external drive. Then I can go crazy and rip many of my CDs to it in FLAC format.
My mobile 'phone sort of acts like that. I can connect it to my PC and just access the Memory Duo and put music on it. The only issue is lack of space. But I only really need 3 or 4 albums on there at a time anyhow.

I like the actual iPod just fine, it's user-friendly and sounds great. It's just the way iTunes decides to do things is the absolute worst. Plus it's unbelievably slow on my machine - and I have a fairly fast Core 2 Duo with 2 GB of RAM.

My mobile 'phone setup annoys me a little (well my last 'phone did anyhow) because I couldn't change the order of tracks. However this new one somehow finds albums covers (no idea how... maybe I transferred the JPG over or something).
Anyhow, I want a user friendly music player that allows me to upload my playlist to last.fm. I think only iPlayer does this right now... I'm not sure.

I'm still feeling lacklustre.
It's been three days now. This isn't good.

No it's not. Anything in particular, or just generally feeling blah?
