Missing about 1/4 of my teeth - check.

Ever worn a bowler hat? Check.

Spend every Sunday dressing in red & chasing local fauna with m'hounds - check.

Am currently dying from a virus which floored Vicky on Saturday (but bloody minded as she is, now in full recovery) & is making me feel like my chest & throat is stuffed with hot cotton wool and my head is being used for Gog & Magog's Christmas croquete tournament - check.

My own chosen martial art is Origami; I had a club going, but it folded.

I preferred macrami but was always too tied up to practice.
Oh, the old ones are the best.

absolutely excellent, Rob...LOLClap

I do remember a well known film from the 50's/60's 'London to Brighton in 20 mins (ish)'?  does anyone else remember something similar?  I have to admit it was a little more enjoyable, because it was slow enough to see the people on the platforms, and the station names as you whistled by, and it was also narrated...Smile

we've had a good humber of heavy frosts over night... scraping the car windscreen etc, but nothing you'd call 'snow'.  today is cold, but the sky is a beautiful azure blue here.... I'm sure the odds on a 'white christmas' in the UK are lengthening...Ermm

Extract from the BBC's finance pages -

The pound hit a low of 1.0756 euros before recovering to 1.0772 euros.

Phew. I thought we really had it then.

It's just like saying England recovered at the end to lose by only 150 runs

A pound for a euro, now that'll be the day... You guys get quite a few hits now, don't you? Yesterday I read that 60% of UK towns don't have their own local pub anymore, and that 60 pubs close the doors forgood each week....

As for the blue sky over Herefordshire, maybe that can save your day a bit?

Guess we could, although I hope not. Things aren't too bad over here yet, but we can't pretend we're an invincible island amidst trouble. What's the latest news on American car industry?

Looking grim, the Senate refused to pass a bailout bill, but now the Bush Administration says they'll find a way to get the automakers the money anyway, not exactly sure how.  Plus since the Administration only has a month left in office, I don't know if they even have time to do it.

£1 = e1 may be good for local attractions in the UK.  People will be visiting places nearer to home instead of disappearing to Spain or Greece twice a year.  Our steam railway is already noticing a slight upturn in passenger figures and Santa trains are sold out.  www.gwsr.com
