Not many Australians around here, I'm one of the few from Aus that comes here regularly.
I'm yet to meet anyone in person from PA either:(
From Seymourduncan.com/forums I've met a dude in person, and next month I shall be meeting up with someone from Sevenstring.org/forums.
Both of which are guitar/guitar related topic forum boards anyway, the only 2 forum boards outside of PA I go to frequently.

TRox is from Australia and pretty regular, although less so in recent months.  I believe that the guy named Dude, was one of the very first PA members and I think he is also from Australia.  He posts very rarely these days though.

Yeah, T Rox is around pretty much at least once a week, I always see him post around JFF, and I see Dude from time to time, seems to be a decent guy.

Seems there's a lot of Canucks around too, that was quite a surprise for me when I joined, and not only Canuck from anywhere, but a few from my province too.

I'm pissed... I just got 3 albums through the mail and my cd player won't work... Cry

Then you're not going to like one thing I have to say about In Absentia.

Pop and minimalism are two completely different categories.  You can be minimalistic and pop.  The last song on the album is precisely that.

Like a lot of Coldplay songs.

You're entitled to your opinion.

I won't be the first person to say that In Absentia is the most prog thing you will ever hear. It isn't. There's no objective way to continue this discussion, so I won't.

Continue it!  Or so help me, I'll...I'll...give Henry Cow 1 star reviews!!!!!

Tongue

I know you wouldn't, because you're not the type of person to review something without knowing it well enough. Wink

That Japanese business you had me hearing the other night...wooo....I'd be sorely tempted to go right on ahead.

Besides, I need more 1 star reviews.  Smile

Koenjihyakkei, right?

I heard the sample here and was really impressed. Got the latest album (because I couldn't find Nivraym)... not so amazing.

n00b, Angherr Shisspa is their best album. Big smile

Somebody will correct me if I am wrong but I believe that both of the Site founders, M@x and ProgLucky, are from Quebec.

Indeed, there is quite a few Canadians here, and also on the other forum boards I go on, Canadians are fairly common.
I tend to find fellow guitar players from Melbourne on other forum boards, but don't even really know of any fellow Melburnians on PA.
I have multiple sources for playing CDs, so if one breaks down, at least I have about 4 others:P

Our secretary and her husband are leaving the day after Christmas for a 3 week trip to Australia.  I'm trying to stowaway in the luggage, but I suspect that I probably won't fit.

Australia does sound like a cool place to visit, but considering that it's hard to take a water bottle in your luggage these days, I expect a whole human wouldn't make it pass the customs... Can you even take pets these days?

Rob isn't human though.

How's you, June?  If you're wondering who the last.fm add is from, it's me.

Lol... I reached a popularity level I'd never seen last night on last.fm.

You're the GeckO, right? I'll try your library right now actually, if you don't, to see if I can discover any new interesting bands.

Mmm... I notice you're part of the "Bern's Bitches" group LOL

Australia is not bad, unless you expect to see kangaroos and sh*t, which you'll be sorely disappointed if you think you'll see them, cos the only time I've seen one in the last 6 years is in the zoo, and before that, several hundred kilometers away from the city.
Of course, you can always break into the zoo enclosures and see the animals up close, if you want the real experience.

Geck0 with a zero.  Yep.

That's my old P.A. name.  I disassociate myself from it now.

And I don't know what happened but some random tracks I played recently got added to the Library without me asking them to be... odd.

I do have a lot of odd music in my list, you have been warned!  I am the one on P.A. who gets accused of being into obscure music.

Although this is true, Black Velvet aka Apsalar has a much more obscure taste than I do.

It's like us and the Mountie, I guess.

We also keep ours in the zoo. Wink
